Vibe coding course for beginners

Turn one small idea into a clear brief, separate the interface from data storage, and review one AI change at a time.

Who this is for

New builders who can describe an idea but do not yet know how an app fits together.

Before you start

No programming experience required. A browser is enough for the drills; the optional project needs an AI coding tool of your choice.

How long it takes

The in-app lesson estimates total about 36 minutes. Repeat exercises at your own pace and allow separate time for the optional project. Finishing a drill is different from being ready to operate a production app.

The actual curriculum

These titles and summaries come from the same lesson catalog used in the app.

Lock the foundations

  1. 1.

What an app is made of · ~3 min

Know which half of your app a problem lives in.

  2. 2.

Where your data lives · ~3 min

Make sure new features actually save — not just display.

  3. 3.

    Save points & rollbacks · ~3 min

Make a save point before every risky change — and return in one click.

  4. 4.

    Keys & secrets, explained · ~3 min

Keep keys in env storage — never inside the code.

  5. 5.

Putting it online · ~3 min

Treat publishing as its own step — with its own check.

  6. 6.

Plugging in other services · ~3 min

Know which outside services your app leans on — and where their switches are.

Prompts that work

  1. 1.

Context comes first · ~3 min

Brief your agent so it builds the right thing on the first try.

  2. 2.

One prompt, one job · ~3 min

Split big asks into single tasks you can check one by one.

  3. 3.

Describe the outcome, not the recipe · ~3 min

Say what “done” looks like and let the agent pick the tools.

  4. 4.

Set guardrails for the agent · ~3 min

Tell the agent what not to touch, so a fix stays a fix.

  5. 5.

Small steps beat big leaps · ~3 min

Build in small checked steps, so breakage always has an address.

  6. 6.

Ask for a plan first · ~3 min

Get the agent's plan before big changes — and veto the bad ones.

Put it into a small project

Plan a one-page habit tracker. Write three observable acceptance checks, ask for one working feature, and verify it before expanding the scope.

This is a suggested practice assignment, not a claim that VibeGym automatically creates or hosts the app for you. Keep a working checkpoint and show the result to someone else before increasing the scope.

Access and next steps

The public sample and guides are free. All 36 in-app lessons are also free with an account, alongside one standard training session per day.
